Senior Claims Manager – Logistics / Carrier (all genders)

• Handle claims and liability cases independently, from intake to fully documented closure, including customer communication
• Manage transport damage, total and partial losses, misdeliveries, tracing requests, and transit-time claims
• File claims with carriers and insurers within deadline and follow up on them consistently
• Review carrier and insurer decisions against transport law and terms of carriage — and push back with solid reasoning when a rejection doesn't hold up
• Decide on goodwill settlements within your authority, and align with the team and Sales on strategic cases
• Communicate settlements, partial settlements, and rejections clearly to customers
• Escalate legal matters (payment orders, lawsuits) to insurers and leadership on time
• Help shape and improve our AI-supported claims processes, macros, and quality standards

• A completed commercial apprenticeship or comparable qualification
• At least two years' experience in claims, damage handling, insurance, customer service, or logistics processes
• A working knowledge of relevant transport law (filing deadlines, liability, evidence requirements, packaging guidelines)
• A good sense for assessing carrier decisions and insurer responses on a case-by-case basis
• An analytical, structured, and self-directed way of working, with a sharp eye for deadlines
• Commercial judgment and a healthy balance between service mindset and protecting the company's interests
• Confidence working with Zendesk and carrier systems
• Fluent German and solid English — French, Italian, or Dutch are a plus
• An appetite for bringing AI and automation into claims work

Experience in freight forwarding or logistics is a plus, but not a must.
